AppHider

AppHider AppHider is a Mac OS X program to help free you from the distraction of applications you're not actively using.

Applications you haven't been paying attention to are hidden to free up screen real estate and help you focus.

It sits on your menu and has a simple interface for excluding applications that you would rather it leave alone.

Its Growl support will inform you when it hides applications and allow you to reclaim them quickly by clicking on the notification. If you just don't get enough popups, you can also have it tell you when it detects applications starting and stopping.

AppHider is an application that desperately needs an icon and possibly a better name, but its utility makes it worth sticking around anyway.
